The cold PL energy saving bulb made by Philips inspired Bakker to design the lamp on the same way as the neon tube led to the 'Zaklampen' lighting project. The name is somewhat misleading as the object alludes to a carnation. The design came about at the same time as the jewelley design 'Dewdrop'. Here too the title gives an ironic twist to the design which takes its cue from a rose in bloom. This lamp was made in association with Herman Hermsen. A table model was designed in 1997.
