'Toen Emmy, nu Gijs' at Design Museum Den Bosch
In 2010, the Design Museum Den Bosch acquired an important part of the inheritance of designer Emmy van Leersum. On the occasion of 10 years of acquisitions by the Vereniging Rembrandt, the Design Museum now presents designs by Emmy van Leersum, together with a small selection of works by Gijs Bakker, her partner until her early death in 1984.
The selection of works by Gijs Bakker consists of design models, prototypes and realised products. They originate from the period of the Gijs + Emmy collaboration and of Droog Design, of which Bakker was co-founder and artistic director.
