26 January 2007 - New interior and furniture for mima

Thursday 26 January 2007 the cafe of Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima) in Middlesbrough, UK opened its doors. Gijs Bakker not only designed the chairs and tables but also the interior is from his hand. Continuing on his Holes Project the interior has been 'shot'. Instead of the holes as seen in previous designs (Wallpaper Peepshow) and jewellery (Shot bracelets) it now is the eye that shoots into space. It reminds us that what we call perspective is limited to one particular spot where we stand at a certain moment. More info? See press release
