The architect Hans Ruijssenaars gave Bakker the commission to make a cycle shelter for Apeldoorn's public library using the 1% ruling (see 057). He solved the problem of 'a little building in front of a big one' by minimizing the shelter aspect by installing a folding semicircular panel above the saddle.
